Issues and Options - our big chance to stop Eton RIGHT NOW

Lewes District Council has now published its Issues & Options consultation phase for the new Local Plan. This is a key opportunity for us to thwart Eton’s plans right from the start - by keeping the option for “new settlements” OUT of the new Local Plan. (The draft Local Plan will be consulted on next year.)

Consultation runs for eight weeks (until September 3). The document doesn’t reference the Eton proposal directly but instead focuses on broad principles for development such as climate change, the environment, jobs and housing. However the way in which we comment on this document will play a critical role in keeping the Eton proposal OUT of the Local Plan.

Our tips on how to comment to achieve maximum impact
We have analysed the Issues & Options document thoroughly and have prepared guidance on how best to comment to achieve maximum impact. Click here to read all about it and what to do next to make your voice heard.

Anyone and everyone is entitled to comment - and it’s VITAL that we all DO.
