Act now! Deadline for Lewes consultation ends September 3

There are now just a few weeks before the end of the Lewes District Council’s current consultation phase for its new Local Plan. This is a really big chance for us to thwart Eton’s plans right from the start - by keeping the option for “new settlements” OUT of the new Local Plan. (The draft Local Plan will be consulted on next year.)

IF YOU ONLY HAVE A FEW MINUTES … the key question is Question 3.2. Just follow the steps below.

1) Go to the Lewes District Council Issues & Options form and input your contact details

2) Click “next” at the bottom of each page until you reach Question 3.2. Question 3.2. is vital as it directly mentions “A new settlement within the Low Weald” (ie new town). We believe Options 1-4 are the best way to spread development opportunities across the District.

3) Select the options that YOU like and add a comment in your own words. Please make it clear that you DON’T want a new settlement (ie town.)

4) Click “next” until you reach the end of the form and then click “finish”.

5) Get your family, friends and neighbours to comment too!

If you have more time to spend on the form, see further info on our Public Consultation page.

Anyone and everyone is entitled to comment - and it’s VITAL that we all DO.
